FAQ

Do I need an account?

No. Every Fill has no sign-up and no sign-in.

Is Every Fill free?

Yes. Every feature is free in this release, with no in-app purchases.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone only, with iOS 26.0 or later. The app is in English.

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone, with automatic backups in the app's own folder in your iCloud Drive. Backups use iCloud Drive documents only. We can't see either. No account is required.

What does the backup status mean?

How often does it back up?

It keeps the last 7 daily backups plus the last 5 taken before imports.

How do backup and restore work?

Every Fill makes automatic backups in your iCloud Drive and shows when the last backup succeeded. Use “Save a backup file” to keep a manual .efbackup copy wherever you choose. Use the restore list to select an available backup to restore.

How do I move to a new iPhone?

Sign in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive turned on, install Every Fill, and use Restore in Settings. Pick from the available backups. You can also restore from a backup file (.efbackup) you saved in Files.

How do I export my data?

Go to Settings › Export all data (CSV + photos). You get a zip file with CSV files (vehicles, fill-ups, services and reminders) plus your receipt photos. It's free. To keep a full backup you can restore from, use Save a backup file… in Settings; it saves a .efbackup file wherever you choose.

What does Delete all data remove?

Delete all data removes your local Every Fill data and the app’s iCloud backups. It does not touch manual exports or backup files you saved elsewhere; remove those yourself if needed. If iCloud can't be reached at that moment, the app tells you; you can remove any remaining copies in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage › Every Fill.

What happens when I uninstall?

Uninstalling removes local app data. iCloud backups remain until you delete them using Delete all data in the app or remove them in iCloud settings (Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage › Every Fill).

Can I import from Fuelly or another app?

Yes, for free. See the Fuelly import guides. Every Fill imports Fuelly's web export, its iPhone-app export and its import template. For other CSV files, use the general CSV importer and match columns in the preview. Review the preview before anything is written.

What happens if an import fails?

Every Fill makes an automatic backup before every import. If the import fails, your data is restored from that backup.

My file has dates like 7/2/09. What year is that?

My file uses commas for decimals. Will that work?

Yes. In the import preview you pick the decimal separator; the preview shows the separators it detected, and rows written in the other number style are skipped. A number that could be read two ways, such as 1,659, is flagged so you can choose.

Why can't I see map locations from my Fuelly file?

Every Fill doesn't store location data, so latitude and longitude columns are skipped on import.

Which units and currencies can I use?

Choose units and currency per vehicle. This includes kilometers or miles, liters or gallons, and electricity in kWh. UK combinations such as miles, liters and UK mpg are supported.

Is my data used for tracking or ads?

No. The app has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. See the privacy policy.

CSV template

Download: everyfill-template.csv

The template uses exactly the same 10 columns, in the same order, as Fuelly's import template, so files made for Fuelly work too. The column names are Fuelly's, so the volume column is spelled litres. One vehicle per file; you choose the vehicle in the preview.
